Interface (UI) Overview

Interface The Finance Trails interface is been designed to minimize the distance between you and useful visual data based on your finances. here we will look at the main elements of the Finance Trails interface. See the Features Page for a more in-depth look at the specific features of Finance Trails. Sidebar The Finance Trails Sidebar is a key element of the application, and it appears on every page. From here, you can Add Incomes and Expenses, Add Accounts, Add Reminders, and keep up-to-date with news from the Finance Trails team. There are further Sidebar elements that are page specific, such as Visible Accounts and Drilldowns. The Dashboard The Dashboard is the Finance Trails "Homepage" – by default it gives you a quick view of your financial health, your latest incomes and expenses, current account balances, and reminders of upcoming incomes and expenses. Data Entry - Accounts, Incomes, Expenses, and Reminders All data entry occurs in Finance Trails through the same logical process - a pop-up window that alows for quick and easy categorization and entry. If you know how to add an account, you know how to add an income or reminder, and vice versa. The Calendar The calendar module is an intuitive interface for customizing and selecting date periods in a range of scenarios throughout Finance Trails. Arranging Charts and Views Throughout Finance Trails, you have the option to customize what you see - this usually means customizing a chart to show data that is of interest to you. Simply select "Add custom chart", fill out a few parameters, and your new chart will be generated.
